Return of the Noob

"Ninety percent of the time you will not understand what I'm taking about."
A reading from the book of bytes.

Aha! I am back. Once again, I am a member of the Pod People. Yippee Yey! I just got tired of raiding and I decided I should come back to the pods. Where can you find a guild more casual and more fun than the Pod People? Well maybe there is one out there but I am not going to spend countless hours looking for one when I know there is one I am very familiar with.

Okay. Now the fun stuff. I was bored one night and decided to test the limits. My ol' friend Gamon from Orgrimmar was bored as well. We decided to take a little vacation from all the chaos. Where should we go? Hmmm, maybe to Razor Hill? to Xroads? or maybe I'll say hi to Mankirk's wife. ;) Here are the fun pics. Enjoy.

Gamon decides to take a break at Razor Hill. What better place to cool off than under the shade? It was one hot day, I had to take off my shirt and of course, show off my abs to the ladies. "Where are you gals going?"

Now off to Razormane Grounds. First sign of hostility since our trip. Gamon was frightened for a bit. I had to deal with the nasty pig men to calm him down.

We finally crossed the bridge. First time Gamon was ever out of Durotar. He was a little nervous and felt a little homesick already. "Comeback you little baby."

Welcome to Crossroads! What better place to find and meet interesting people. "Gamon, don't run, Mr. McTauren was just teasing you."

"Gamon meet Mankirk's wife, Mankirk's wife meet Gamon. Dude!? she is married."

Well we are off to Camp Taurajo! "I can almost smell the cows, Gamon where are you going this time?" Did I just offend him? From a distance I heard Gamon laughed "Mankirk's wife need company, I will see ya later noob!" Good times!

Not Your Typical Noob

"Your are noooooooooooooooooooooot prepared!"
A reading from the book of bytes.

It's been a while since I posted. And since then, there has been a lot of changes. New guild [Not Your Typical Heroes], new experiences and still the same ol' noob. I feel powerful though, having let go of something that has been bringing me down for ages. It feels great to face my fears, it's a challenge and the experience is exhilarating. The thought of doing something hard is nerve-wrecking, we feel scared, but in the end its definitely worth all the trouble.

I knew I could do anything, as long as I put my mind into it. A little sacrifice here, a little there. Balancing was an issue, but it had to be done. Enough of all this emo crap, now to the good stuff.

WoW Report:
- Bytelyte dinged 70. Wooty Woot Woot!

- Bytemarks got his first Arena Set Piece and Epic Totem.
- Bytemarks got his Epic Flying Mount.
- Bytemarks got his first Karazhan Epic.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, enough said.

Oh this is what happens when you are bored and have the enough time in your hands.

Hope you all enjoy the shenanigans! 'Til next time, noobs!

Ding 70!

"There is nothing sexier than a naked albino tauren dinging 70."
A reading from the book of bytes.

Woot! I finally made it to level 70. After questing through Outlands tackling quests, dungeons and monstes, I have yet again reached the level cap of the game "World of Warcraft." I spent hours leveling as a resto shaman and all I can say is "I kicked some serious ass." I am very thankful for my new guild members who helped me quest and do dungeons.

More power to Berserker, Eviltim, Neosliver, Stronghunter, Ryan and Jen (you seriously cannot separate this two). Also to Diaballo, Tezzarin, Xbuster, Oldan and many others that have helped me quest.

Welcome to level 70 and welcome to the 2nd part of World of Warcraft.

P.S.
if you feel that I forgot to mention your name, please post something in the comment so i can add you in.

P.S.S
The names are not under the order of who helped me the most but alphabetically or shit! that is how i wanna write it down. Stop complaining.

Farewell Pod People!

"Help keep control the noob population, have your toons /gkicked or neutered."
A reading from the book of bytes.

Bytemarks has left The Pod People.

What?
"Bytemarks has been kicked from the guild by Infernalbill."
"Bytelyte has been promoted to Pod."
Yes, I asked Bill to kick Bytemarks from the guild and promote my rogue alt "Bytelyte" to a full member.

Why?
- To join the ranks of the Gimps Inc, a Conglomeration of Domination.
- To become the Shaman Class Leader.

Z0mG!!! Seriously WTF Why?
There are many reasons why I took my main character "Bytemarks" from "The Pod People and here is why:

- Progression: I want to see new things and I want to see them NOW rather than later. There are many opportunities in-game and IRL and I do not want to miss out on them by waiting. Who knows what will happen tomorrow.

- Close in-game friends: The core officers of Gimps are people I like and I came know in-game as friends. As a matter of fact, they are also previous "Pod People" members who either left the realm and came back or left the guild to hang out with their RL friends. Although I am aware some of my Pod People friends were slightly shocked when I left the guild and I jokingly answer them, "coz I am 1337" or "I am Gimped." They will be missed and I still talk to them from time to time, help them quest, etc. I am not completely detached from as of now.

- Frustration and many other stuff: I am somewhat frustrated of some people's decisions mostly of how they view the game and how they expect people to see it. We play the game to have fun, and if it upsets me constantly either because of rules, some noob, or other things then I am not having fun.

Do not get me wrong, it is the BEST guild I was ever part of. But with a guild the size of Azeroth itself, things can go out of hand as different cultures and mindsets are mixed in together. I admire the officers and appreciate the job they have done to keep the guild intact. They continuously do their best to uphold the values which the guild represents and they continue to do so to ensure that the guild runs smoothly. /cheer to all of them.

I know they lose game-time to spend hours in meetings talking about guild policies, dramas, events, etc. And it is frustrating that they get criticized for their "not well-received" decisions/comments. But I am gonna add a little to that :P. I hope if they ever read this, they do not feel offended, as my opinions are biased based on my perceptions and my experiences.
So here is my little rant. A little comment. "CHILL." I know that things can go out of hand, can blow into proportions if you do not weed out bad apples from the guild. And I know you have the power to /gkick, demote, silence, sap, polymorph, mind-control, banish, blind, root, and sleep your members BUT be REASONABLE. Again, this is just my opinion. I am not going to get into the details or provide an example. I do not want to create drama or start calling out instances in which these cases have happened. If something comes to your mind while you are reading this, that situation is probably one of them.

And I would like to leave one more comment. "THINK of what the consequences be, if you reject, kick or argue with someone." We have to always remember, that all people are different, we may share common interests or beliefs but we have different perceptions. We have feelings. Some people have different opinions and reasons of why they play the game. Some engage to have fun, some to boost their self-esteem, some may be battling depression, some to escape reality. And if you intentionally or unintentionally ruin that channel or that experience, think of those people when they will have to their Zolofts, and Prozacs. I am just kidding, but think of the possibilities.

We are not all 1337, I understand. Some of us have noob-tendencies, are impatient, have low self-esteem and high blood pressure. We are after all a huge family. We should look out for each other.

- Allergies: I kid! I kid! I may have a slight case of noob allergies but that is very minor. I reflected on the fact, that if I continue to discriminate against noobs, then I will become a "noob racist." And I hate the idea of racism. I may slowly lose my patience but I will never be that hateful.

"0mG bytes! They are gonna grill your ass and kick you from the guild."
Nah, they won't because kicking noobs from the guild is illegal in 50 states except Hawaii (wth is Raggie?), Australia, New Zealand, and Continental Europe, so I am safe. Plus, I am a ninja and you can not kick ninjas from the guild, ninjas will kick you instead.

P.S.
My quest log is full.

Blessing of Wisdom

"One more year closer to the end."
A reading from the book of bytes.

Happy Birthday to me! Yet another year wasted and another year to completely screw up.

New Years Resolutions to be honest is one of my least favorite things to do. Others look forward to improve themselves, get rid of bad habits, and hope for the best. I, on the other hand, dread making a list just because of most the time, I would fail to do them anyways. Planning is completely useless when you are not gonna follow through. So amidst all the chaos, the disappointments, and the memories I endured, I will again, walk through the dungeons unarmed, and unprepared, as optimistic as possible, hoping for the best to come.

Success requires planning, and history proves it, but I am completely stubborn. I am willing to change the norm and make history, or die trying. Nah, that will most likely not happen. I undestand that the choices that I make are completely mine and the consequences it brings are burdens I have to carry. I am however grateful for one thing, that I am blessed with the knowledge and understanding that all things have a purpose, and the faith I have has held me back from completely falling into the darkness.

May all the wrong choices, the disappointments, the hardships and the experiences will one day be the bindings that will keep me whole. And the memories, the good ol' memories will help me keep fighting. To finally face my greatests fears and to tackle my hardest challenges in the adventure that is my life.

So the journey continues... and I hope I do not lose fear in Him, for without that, the wicked can easily consume those of us who lose faith, hope and love.

Welcome to my blog!

"Happy New Year and Welcome to my blog!"

Welcome ladies and gentlemen, monster of all ages. I figured, I will start the new year with a new blog. First, a little introduction. I am bytes, member of guild in Whisperwind, US servers. My blog does not reflect any of the values my guild represents, this is entirely my ideas, opinions, and my rants.

Here it is... enjoy. Happy reading!

I am Allergic to Noobs

"I think I am having a rash."
A reading from the book of bytes.

What more do I have to say? If I do not interact with you, or converse with you, you are probably one, a noob.

Wiki's Definition:
Noob - newcomer, ignorant, inexperienced, unskilled.

My Definition:
I mostly use the term to tease friends, guildmates, etc. and not as an insult, but for the purpose of this blog it refers to:
Noob - stupid, r-tard, has no common sense.

Seriously, I dislike noobs. I always give people second chances, but that is just how long I can handle. I just cannot tolerate stupidity or the lack of common sense. People who cannot learn to adapt or change are just plain and simple "noobs."

Being stubborn is one thing, but being stupid is totally a whole new level. A level which is deep, dark and despised (by me).

P.S.
People who I called "noobs" are most of the time not. We were all noobs at one point, but if you stay one too long, there is something wrong with you and it is just hopeless.

May you learn your mistakes, or else... you will burn in righteous fire!
